The beloved Scottish King Duncan is murdered by Macbeth who then turns into a tyrant himself resulting in the disruption of public order.

The paradox of both winning and losing the battle, and the underlying motive - fair is foul and foul is fair - enshrouds the drama. Everything is possible.
